Growing up in Spain and born in Lima (Perú), her words and broken honesty won her a Latin Grammy Award preselection for Talitá Kum, her first album. Fond of several trends of music, she has collaborated with different renowned artists and performed in Europe and South America. Star of the film “Sigo Siendo” (Corcuera), she also sings the lead track in the spanish movie “Puñado de Besos” (Menkes) and the emblematic peruvian song “El hombre” in “El viaje macho” (Basurto). She lends her voice in the play “El loco de los balcones” (Vargas Llosa), directed by Gustavo Tambascio and is part of the revolutionary opera project “A lyrical Van”. With an upcoming album, her groundbreaking success as an independent artist and performer and a passion for life that is highly contagious, Sara Van continues to captivate her audience around the world, bringing an indie torch of flame to the ancient soul of Latin lore.
