On the microphone, Cedric is a soft spoken storyteller with a great sense of humor, and wisdom that is ripe to his thirty four years. His lyrics are imaginatively crafted and adventurously informed. He is very nostalgic, and yet also he is very present in the moment. One moment, he’ll have you in your seat longing for the times when you and your next door neighbor, Billy used to spit watermelon seeds at each other’s face, and then, in a moment that soon follows, he’ll have you on your feet, clapping your hands, chanting Rising Up With Energy.
