THE FAT AFRO LATIN JAZZ CATS
Since 2010 ALJA has given opportunities for youth to learn the Afro Latin Jazz genre through the Fat Afro Latin Jazz Cats or “Fat Cats”. Led by members of the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra (ALJO), this orchestra trains and prepares students for advanced music study at specialized colleges and conservatories. The Fat Cats currently call Loove Labs in Williamsburg home, where they rehearse each Sunday. This special Father’s Day Sunday afternoon concert is our end-of-year celebration and will feature all three ensembles dándole duro! Come join the party!
