Palabra, Imagen y Escena es un espacio artístico creado para la difusión de la obra de poetas, narradorxs, dramaturgxs y artistas visuales que producen su obra en español.
Esta serie es curada por las poetas y académicas Margarita Drago y Juana M. Ramos y se presentara el tercer domingo de cada mes.

Acerca de Carlos Manuel Rivera:

El Dr. Carlos Manuel Rivera de Puerto Rico, es poeta, actor, dramaturgo, performer e

investigador. Ejerce como Catedrático de lengua española y de literatura latinoamericana

e hispano-caribeña en Bronx Community College, City University of New York. Obtiene

el Premio Internacional de Ensayo del Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña con su libro

Para que no se nos olvide. Ensayos de interpretación de un teatro puertorriqueño

marginal (ensayo, 2014). Ha publicado además los siguientes libros: Soplo mágicos

disparates (poesía-performance, 2003); Teatro Popular: El Nuevo Teatro Pobre de

América de Pedro Santaliz (Ensayo, 2005); Bululú. Perfume y veneno (Poesía y textos

performáticos, 2020); De intenciones, intensidades (Poesía, 2022). También grabó su

CD de “Spoken Words” ASI MI NATION (2010) .

Acerca de Nancy Mercado:

Recently nominated for the prestigious Pushcart Prize, Nancy Mercado received the American

Book Award for Lifetime Achievement presented by the Before Columbus Foundation. She was

named one of 200 living individuals who best embody the work and spirit of Frederick Douglass

on the occasion of his bicentennial, by The Frederick Douglass Family Initiatives and the

Antiracist Research and Policy Center at American University.

Mercado is the guest editor for Konch Magazine’s, Remembering Miguel Algarín: A Celebration

and editor of the first Nuyorican Women Writers Anthology published in Voices e/Magazine,

Hunter College-CUNY. She authored: It Concerns the Madness (Long Shot), Las Tres

Hermanas (Casita Maria), and edited if the world were mine (Independent publication). Among

the many places she has featured are: the University of Nantes, France, The Geraldine R. Dodge

Poetry Festival, and (by invitation from the renowned Cuban poet Roberto Fernández Retamar),
