About Xianix Barrera :

A Bessie Award-nominated flamenco dancer, choreographer, and teacher is known for her fierce and unapologetic embrace of femininity. Her work, infused with themes of female empowerment, sexual identity, and social justice, has paved the way for groundbreaking contributions to the world of flamenco. In 2012, she founded the Xianix Barrera Flamenco Company, where her innovative choreography continues to push boundaries, balancing traditional flamenco with contemporary flair. Her most recent production, "Mujeres," was highlighted by an all-female cast and a collaboration with acclaimed guitarist and composer Antonia Jiménez.

With a rich background in ballet, modern, jazz, and percussive studies, Xianix has studied flamenco under master artists in New York and Spain. Her performances on prestigious stages like The Joyce Theater and Lincoln Center have seen her share the limelight with legends like Isabel Bayón and Juan Ogalla.

Notable accolades include a scholarship to the Flamenco Program at Jacob's Pillow, an Artist in Residence with Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana, and a nomination for a Bessie Award for her role in "Latido." Beyond the stage, Xianix's dedication to education resonates through her classes and workshops for the Joyce Theater, New York City Center, and communities across New York City. Her influence as a performer and educator makes her a leading voice in the contemporary flamenco scene.

About Jackson Scott:

Jackson Scott is a guitarist born in Seville to British parents who relocated from London to rural Spain in the 1970s. His music embodies the rich tapestry of these diverse cultures. For the past ten years, Jackson has toured extensively across Europe, the Middle East, and Russia with his Spanish punk band, Mano de Dios. More recently, he has garnered support from a talented ensemble of musicians from South America, France, and the US for his English venture, The Jackson Scott Band, which fuses Latino rhythms with American Traditional Jazz.

Jackson has released a full-length studio album with Mano de Dios and has recently followed up with a solo LP. This latest work was recorded entirely in analog and released exclusively on vinyl. In 2013, he was tasked with creating the soundtrack for Angus McQueen's documentary "Druglord: The Legend of Shorty," which delves into the life of the notorious Mexican drug lord El Chapo. That same year, he initiated a project in Cuba to record Spanish versions of Nat King Cole classics, intending to complete a live album.

Now splitting his time between New York, London, and Seville, Jackson is crafting new material in Spanish for his upcoming album.

About Alfonso Mogaburo Cid:

Alfonso was born and raised in Sevilla, the heartland of flamenco music. He also had the opportunity of attending the activities of one of the most significant flamenco clubs in Andalusia, the Peña Flamenca Torres-Macarena in Seville. Alfonso has toured extensively throughout the USA, Latin America, Israel and Europe, and has just toured Spain last February of 2018 with the Jazz/Flamenco band the New York Bojaira Project by pianist Jesús Hernández from Granada, Spain.
