Misión Brindar una formación completa sobre las danzas tradicionales del Carnaval de Barranquilla, facilitando a la comunidad neoyorquina un mas profundo acercamiento a la diversidad y complejidad de estas manifestaciones artísticas.

Visión Ser referente en Nueva York para aprender y divulgar las danzas del Carnaval de Barranquilla, fomentando el diálogo intercultural de Colombia con el munco a traves de las artes.  

Estrategia

• Contextualización y Difusión: Mediante una perspectiva educativa detallada, se ofrecerá a los asistentes un entendimiento profundo sobre el Carnaval de Barranquilla y sus danzas representativas.

• Formación Teórico-Práctica: Con Elvira Bustamante Fuentes a la cabeza, se impartirán lecciones estructuradas en tres etapas esenciales: familiarización, identificación y dominio completo de la danza.

• Inclusividad: Se abren puertas tanto a niños como adultos, asegurando que todas las edades puedan disfrutar y aprender.

• Fomento de la Participación: Gracias a tarifas accesibles y modalidades flexibles, buscamos convocar al máximo número de interesados, ya sea para formación continua o para una experiencia aislada.

• Promoción Activa: Se realzará la importancia del Carnaval de Barranquilla, reconocido como "Patrimonio Cultural de la Nación" y "Obra Maestra del Patrimonio Oral e Intangible de la Humanidad", para incrementar el atractivo y participación en el taller.

Metodología A lo largo de 12 semanas, el taller se desplegará en 3 fases esenciales:

• FASE 1: 4 semanas destinadas al reconocimiento de las danzas tradicionales.

• FASE 2: 4 semanas centradas en el contenido teórico y la identificación de las distintas danzas.

• FASE 3: 4 semanas orientadas a la práctica, enfatizando la representación y promoción cultural.

Recursos Primer piso de Terraza 7, espejo de cuerpo entero, sistemas de sonido, instrumentos, música y zonas comunes. Se sugiere vestir adecuadamente para la actividad dancística.

Cronograma Sábados y domingos, desde el 4 de Noviembre hasta el 28 de Enero de 2023.

Facilitadora: Elvira del Socorro Bustamante Fuentes Con un bagaje académico impresionante que incluye un Magister en Educación y una licenciatura en Educación con énfasis en Artística, Elvira es una figura prominente en la danza folclórica colombiana.

Strategy:

• Contextualization and Dissemination: Through a detailed educational perspective, attendees will be offered a deep understanding of the Barranquilla Carnival and its representative dances.

• Theoretical-Practical Training: Led by Elvira Bustamante Fuentes, lessons will be structured in three essential stages: familiarization, identification, and complete mastery of the dance.

• Inclusivity: Doors are open to both children and adults, ensuring all ages can enjoy and learn.

• Promotion of Participation: Thanks to affordable rates and flexible modes, we aim to gather the highest number of interested individuals, whether for continuous training or a one-off experience.

• Active Promotion: The importance of the Barranquilla Carnival, recognized as the "Cultural Heritage of the Nation" and "Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity," will be highlighted to increase attraction and participation in the workshop.

Methodology:

Over 12 weeks, the workshop will unfold in 3 essential phases:

• PHASE 1: 4 weeks dedicated to recognizing traditional dances.

• PHASE 2: 4 weeks focused on theoretical content and identification of different dances.

• PHASE 3: 4 weeks aimed at practice, emphasizing representation and cultural promotion.

Resources:

First floor of Terraza 7, full-length mirror, sound systems, instruments, music, and common areas. It's suggested to dress appropriately for dance activities.

Saturdays and Sundays, from November 4th to January 28th, 2023.
