Join us for this unique opportunity to go deep into the music from the Pacific region of Colombia, guided by master percussionist Diego Obregón.

We’re pleased to host this unique workshop series where participants will learn the rudiments of currulao, one of the most seductive, yet elusive, rhythms from Colombia.

Discover the basic patterns and grooves as they are played on marimba de chonta, bombo (bass drum), cununo (a distant relative of the conga and djembe), and guasá (bamboo shaker). A small group setting guarantees access to traditional instruments and personalized instruction.
