The Cachivache Quintet$15
The Cachivache Quintet is currently one of the most popular tango groups and is widely recognized on the world music circuit. Sometimes called ‘Tango Punk’ ‘, the group is characterized by its undeniably creative, original, and very “danceable ” style.
In 2008, two Argentinian musicians living in Spain, Vito Venturino (guitar) and Pablo Montanelli (Piano) reconnect with their Porteñe roots and form the group Cachivache. They quickly attract attention in Europe and Asia for their very distinctively modern style. Once resettled in Buenos Aires, they begin to compose original pieces while also at the same time continuing to thrill dancers and fans of classic tango arrangements with an undeniably contemporary sound.
The band has played over 1000 shows in over 50 countries and its shooting a documentary/road movie on tour.
