The “Dueto Andaluz” Show consists of demonstrating and transmitting the multidisciplinary art of the Andalusian Gypsy culture through Flamenco music, singing and dancing originated in the southern part of Spain and recognized and appreciated throughout the world. The “Dueto Andaluz” does not fit only in the style and repertoire of Flamenco but also plays Jazz, Classical and Mexican music but with the Mediterranean and Andalusian touch and sound. The Andalusian Duet is composed of the guitarist, composer and arranger Daniel Pimentel and the dancer Natalia Loza who apart from the zapateado masterfully manages the castanets, shawl, and fan. Both are a reference to Flamenco in Mexico.
Alfonso Cid was born and raised in Sevilla, the heartland of flamenco music. He also had the opportunity of attending the activities of one the most significant flamenco clubs in Andalusia, the Peña Flamenca Torres-Macarena in Seville. Alfonso has toured extensively throughout the USA, Latin America, Israel, and Europe, and has just toured Spain last February of 2018 with the Jazz/Flamenco band New Bojaira by pianist Jesús Hernández from Granada, Spain.
